Book Lovers... what accessories would you suggest for easy, comfortable reading?
Things considered necessities. Things such as book lights, lap-desks and such. And what is the best bang for your buck on each item?
Perfect reading conditions: a good book (naturally), a balanced spectrum or full spectrum Book Light, a really comfortable chair or sofa, a glass of water (or beverage of choice), and a quiet room. For extra comfort, add a blanket and a pillow.
The balanced spectrum light that I use is one from First Street. The cheapest they have is a folding desktop model http://www.firststreetonline.com/product.jsp?id=47603 but I have http://www.firststreetonline.com/product.jsp?id=16640&from=47603&pos=2 which is $34.95. It's on all day and most of the night (probably about 16-18 hours), and I haven't had to replace the bulb yet...from last Christmas. It gives you almost natural daylight. It's great!
I can't give you the best bang for your buck on the book, the chair or sofa, the glass of water or the quiet room!
