Bookmark Opening
How do I prevent my website bookmarks from opening a new tab?
I'm creating a website using Microsoft Word and everything works fine, the website works great except when I press ctl+click over a link instead of it scrolling down the page to the marked bookmark, it opens a new tab to the bookmark. But when I edit my document and press ctrl + click over the link it scrolls down, like it's supposed to..any ideas? Or did I just confuse the crap out of ya? Help!
(I'm filling in a few blanks with my own assumptions here. Particularly that you are using a web browser to view the page after it's been created.)
When viewing the page in a browser, using Ctrl-Click tells the browser to open it in a new tab. (At least, that's what Firefox and Internet Explorer both do.) It's doing exactly when you told it to do. If you want it to remain in the same tab, just click the link instead.
