why do people apply a one size fits all approach?

We're all different at the end of the day. Yet its the idea that you can take one thing and apply it to everyone and it will work. It doesn't.

There are plenty of reasons people do this. Some people think that if it worked for them, it should work for everyone else too. These are the type of people that just don't understand that people are fundamentally different. Sometimes people use a one size fits all approach because they are just too lazy to come up with different ways. And in places like public school, treating people different, regardless of if its helpful or not, is seen as favoritism. I agree, people should be treated differently, but in a politically correct world, it becomes impossible to treat people different without hurting other peoples feelings.
