how do I make an '87 Rochester Quadrajet carburetor have an adjustable air/fuel ratio?
the adjustment screws at the front have no indents or holes to which a bit can grip it; they're rounded. The carb appears to have never been adjusted.
The carb model type is M4MEF from a chevy 454 within a fleetwood southwind RV.
I have cut flat-head indents in each screw [covering?]. The screws are not budging.
Underneath the carb, when it's removed from the engine, there are 1/8" cylindrical indents with approximately 1/32" depth. There are two of these indents seemingly straddling the path of each screw. Must these be drilled out or otherwise modified?
thats one of the last carbs ever built . it is non adjustable be cause emisson . grate hunh. it beter with a older carb. or mabey just base plate have to check ports to see if works
