A Little About The World Series Baseball Rings
When I say baseball rings, I refer to the rings given to each individual player of the winning World Series game.
These rings, cost the baseball teams thousands of dollars to make for the winning team, and are often sought just as much as the World Series trophy itself!
Baseball rings can fetch quite a high price, due to their over the top decoration of diamonds, gold and other expensive materials.
Changing each year, baseball ring designs have seen some of the best craftsmanship, and some of the worst...
The most expensive baseball ring to date, is the 2003 ring given to the Florida Marlins after winning the 2003 Major League Baseball World Series.
The ring is so big it has the name, number and position of the baseball player! It even has the baseball team’s season record, results of all three post-season series', and the likeness of the World Series Trophy on the side!
The baseball ring was designed by owner of the Florida Marlins, Jeff Luria. It was crafted by InterGold, containing 14-K White Gold with 18-K Gold inserts, 13 rubies and 229 diamonds! The Marlin's eye is even crafted from a rare teal diamond!
My favorite baseball ring by far is the 2005 ring given to the Chicago White Sox.
The baseball ring is beautifully made, and stands out a bit from the rest of the rings. It's round, not square like most of the other baseball rings, with an Old English style of writing on the front spelling "Sox". The baseball ring consists of 95 diamonds, weighing more than two carats!
The standard of baseball rings do vary year to year, but one thing is for sure...
Baseball rings offer baseball players an extra incentive to go out there and give their all, and anything that boosts a players morale and incentive is ace's in my Books!
I can't wait to see what baseball rings are in store for up and coming World Series Champions!
