Leather-like paper? need help 4 English project/scrapbook?
I have to make a scrapbook for English. It's supposed to look like it's old and from the early 1900's. What kind of paper would look like leather that I could cover a handmade scrapbook in? It's going to look like this: http://www.goantiques.com/scripts/images,id,124583.html
If you also know anyway to make ordinary paper look like CONVINCABLE leather, then that would work too.

Try seeing if a local thrift store has an old Photo Album like that. Otherwise, if you can't fine one...take some cardboard and glue some black tissue paper to it. When you glue it, make it so it has the crinkles in it a bit. That may get messy. You may also try looking for one of those portfolio cases and cutting it to size and putting grommets in it, then tie with black cord.
